On March 18 ,2013 representitives from Orlando Metroplan, Osceola Expressway Authority and Lynx gave Poinciana residents and update on Central Florida Transportation Plans
Bids for constuction of Poinciana Parkway have been returned. As of May 6, 3 selected finalists turned in their bids for construction of Poinciana Parkway. These bids are being evaluated and target date for awarding of contract is set for Friday July 19,2013.
Poinciana Medical Center will be opening this summer to serve the community of Poinciana. The 110,000 square foot facility will be available to serve patients with emergency services, inpatient hospital care, and outpatient testing and procedures. There will be convenient parking for patients and visitors surrounded by beautiful landscaping. All 30 inpatient, private rooms are located on the second floor with convenient visitor accommodations and large windows to enhance the healing environment.
On the first floor a full range of acute care services will be offered including Emergency Services, MRI, CT, Radiography, Fluoroscopy, Ultrasound, Non-invasive Cardiology Testing, Cardiac Catheterization, Pharmacy and Dietary. Poinciana Medical Center will offer the convenience of Outpatient Laboratory, Radiology, Surgery, and Endoscopy services.

Phase II Construction Scheduled to begin in August 2013
Progress continues on new Poinciana Community Park in Village 7. Phase I completion scheduled for Sept 2013. Phase II contruction to begin in August with target for completion 1Q 2014.
