Poinciana Residents for Smart Change
Adults and Kids from all parts of Poinciana work together in Great Poinciana Cleanup
Approximately 41 Kids and 14 Adults worked together for 4 hours Sat May 5,2012 to help cleanup the Poinciana community. More than 32 bags of trash were collected and dropped off into dumpsters. More than 41 tires were dropped off for recycling. Abandon furnature, appliances and other items including used toilets were moved from abandoned lots throughout the community for later pick up by APV work crews.
Poinciana wants to thank the youth volunteers from Liberty, Haines City and other High Scools for their work on this effort. Special thanks to the Poinciana Veterans who helped make this project a success. Additional thanks to the other adult volunteers from the community.

Two teams attacked the project with on team focused on streets identified in Village 1 as needing cleanup. The second team focused on streets in village 2 and 5. Other villages had streets in need of cleanup but we did not have enough time and resources
