Poinciana Medical Center will be a two-story, 100,000 square foot building with 24 private medical-surgical beds and a six-bed ICU. In support of both inpatient and outpatient care, the facility will provide a full range of acute care services including emergency services, diagnostic imaging, inpatient and outpatient surgery, cardiac catheterization, laboratory, pharmacy, and a full range of support services. The Emergency Department will be approximately 11,000 square feet with 12 exam rooms. In addition, the facility will include a 16-slice CT, radiography, fluoroscopy room and ultrasound. The structure will include an EMS entrance and helicopter pad for rapid transport of critically ill patients to Osceola Regional Medical Center.

Medical Office Building
The Poinciana Medical Center campus will house a freestanding medical office building with leasable square footage for physicians and other healthcare providers. The building will be approximately 40,000 square feet and lease rates are as of yet undetermined.

Cost
HCA�s total investment in Poinciana Medical Center will be approximately $65 million.

Ownership
Poinciana Medical Center is owned by HCA, the Hospital Corporation of America. Nashville-based HCA was one of the nation's first hospital companies. Today, we are the nation's leading provider of healthcare services, a company comprised of locally managed facilities that includes about 164 hospitals and 106 freestanding surgery centers in 20 states and Great Britain. HCA employs approximately 183,000 people.

Employment
Once fully operational, Poinciana Medical Center will employ approximately 200 full time employees. Poinciana Medical Center is currently not accepting employment applications. Additional employment information will be announced to the community at a later date closer to the hospital opening, via the Poinciana Medical Center website, which is currently under development.

Kissimmee, FL, July 20, 2012 – To commemorate the placement of the highest steel beam, Poinciana Medical Center celebrated with a Topping Out ceremony on Friday, July 20, 2012.
"Project management leadership and the construction team have done an excellent job," said Joanna Conley, Chief Operating Officer at Poinciana Medical Center. "This hospital will be the jewel of Poinciana and each of the team members can be proud that they were a part of building it."
Ceremony attendees signed the beam and watched as it was placed at the top of the entrance area of the hospital. The white beam was adorned with an American flag and a small cypress tree.
The brand new 110,000 square foot facility will be located at the intersection of Solivita Boulevard and Cypress Parkway. Construction continues on schedule and the hospital is projected to open in summer 2013.
